E-Paper 7.4'' Label vs. TABLET LCD

A 7.4'' e-ink label carries 4 CR2450 batteries (PILE CR2450 LITHIUM 3V 620mAh) for a lifespan of approximately 4 to 5 years Then you have to remember your electricity lessons: P (Watt) hour = U (Volt) x I (Ampere) hour

So, the consumption side label, so we have 4 batteries of 3 V x 660 mAh 7.92 Wh for a period of 4 years

A tablet consumes about 12kWh/year: https://www.greenit.fr/2015/04/16/combien-consomme-une-tablette

That is, a 4-year consumption of: 12,000 Wh x 4 years or 48,000 Wh.  It is 6,060 times less to be precise.

12.2'' e-Paper Label vs. Energy Star Certified Dynamic Display screen

A 12.2'' label carries 6 CR2450 batteries (PILE CR2450 LITHIUM 3V 620mAh) for a lifespan of about 4 to 5 years
So the consumption of a 12.2' label is 6 batteries of 3 V x 660 mAh 11.8 Wh for a period of 4 years

The following articles indicate the consumption of Energy Star labelled screens (low consumption)
https://blog.cenareo.com/mettre-en-place-un-affichage-dynamique-responsable-le-materiel
http://www.support.nec-display.com/dl_service/data/display/manual/ME431_ME501_ME551_ME651_manual_FR_v3-2.pdf

Manufacturer data show consumption between 80Wh and 165Wh depending on the size. Let's take 80Wh.
The annual consumption is therefore 80Wh x 24h x 265j or 700 800Wh/year or 2,803,0000 Wh for 4 years.

This new and low-consumption type of screen is: 433 kWh/year so 1,732,000 Wh over 4 years.
So electronic paper consumes 237,000 times less than a next-generation Energy Star-labelled screen.

12.2'' e-paper label vs. printed A4 sheet of paper:

A 12.2'' label carries 6 CR2450 batteries (PILE CR2450 LITHIUM 3V 620mAh) for a lifespan of about 4 to 5 years
So the consumption of a 12.2' label is 6 batteries of 3 V x 660 mAh 11.8 Wh for a period of 4 years

The following article indicates the consumption of new printers (low consumption)
https://energieplus-lesite.be/concevoir/bureautique/choisir--appareil-par-appareil/choisir-les-photocopieurs/
mentions:
1. In conventional management is in the order of 747 [kWh/year]
2. In low-energy management is in the order of 433 [kWh/year].
The printer even in low energy: 433 kWh / year so 1,732,000 Wh over 4 years

So electronic paper consumes 146,000 times less than a printer.

In other words... 146,000 A4 sheets can be printed to regain the energy consumed by 1 e-ink sheet.

Regarding the carbon footprint, I do not have data on the shelves, but on the paper side, we can evaluate the tons of carbons used to ship the wood needed for pulp or to move the (quite heavy) paper reams to the office where it will finally be printed, but there ... it would add to the bill, especially since most of the papers end up incinerated and release the carbon so slowly stored by the forests.
